Guest PhD Student

Bio

Yerim Gim is a musicologist working where music meets the brain and the body. Her research is an aesthetic inquiry into Brain-Computer Music Interfaces and Neurofeedback Music, tracing their histories while examining questions of agency and inclusiveness in how artists compose with brainwave data. Looking ahead, she aims to bridge this work with AI to better understand technology’s influence on music today.

Yerim is a PhD student at Seoul National University, currently a visiting PhD student through the SKERIC mobility programme (funded by STINT).
